Summary:

Sales Development Representative is a position that builds an understanding of PGT Services sales operations and provides experience in new customer development. This role focuses on generating new leads by targeting small to midsized companies in a given region/territory, while then prioritizing prospecting and cold calling to produce meetings. This role works with senior sales team members to strategically coordinate meetings, based off prospect needs, and over time will grow internally with the PGT Services Sales Team.

Succeed by developing new ideas to generate leads, and book meetings, while being collaborative, sociable, and outgoing. Always come to the office excited and ready to go!

Responsibilities:

  • Come to office with an upbeat attitude ready to cold call and prospect every day.
  • MUST be comfortable with high volume prospecting and cold calling
  • Book new customer meetings/phone meetings every week
  • Discover new companies each week that meet territory and company size requirements.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls and shadow upper-level sales management periodically
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with prospective, new, and current customers.
  • Propose new recommendations and ideas to the sales team, be creative in your approach!

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Hungry to Grow in Sales
  • Excited to cold call, prospect, and work directly with senior sales and management.
  • Previous cold calling, prospecting, customer service, and negotiation experience preferred.
  • Experience in Flatbed, Dry Van, 3Rd party logistics a plus but not required.
  • Experience in Steel, building products, pipe, projects, heavy heal is a plus but not required.
  • Although position is region/territory focused, employee must work in office each day for in person collaboration.
